This Indenture made the Thirtieth Day of
July--- In the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Four
Between Thomas Green of Great-Egg-harbour in the County of Gloucestor in
the Western Division of the Province of New Jersey Yeoman and Rachel his
wife of the one Part And Joseph Dole of New-town in the County Yeoman of
the other Part Witnesseth that the s. Thomas Green & Rachel his wife
for & in Consideration of the Sum of - Five Shillings Lawful Money to
them in hand paid by the s. Joseph Dole. The Receipt whereof they do hereby
acknowl - have bargained & sold and by these Presents do bargain and
sell unto the s. Joseph Dole A Certain Messuage or Tenemt. Plantation &
two tracts of Land thereto belonging situate lying & being between the
Two Egg-harbour Rivers The One Begins at a Stake standing by the Sounds
and from thence running North Westerly Fifty eight Degrees Ninety five Chains
to a Corner Tree From thence North Thirty two Degrees easterly Thirty Chains
& a half to a Corner marked Tree From thence South Fifty two Degrees
Easterly One hundred & Eleven chains to a Stake by s. Sound From thence
by the s. Sound to the first mentioned Stake Containing Three hundred Acres
of Land & Meadow Besides .Allowance for Roads. The Other lies between
Peter Sculls Plantation & the above described Tract and adjoins all
along the Westerly Side of the same Tract down to the Bay And is in width
according to the custom & Usage of the Place And contains Fifty Acres
Together also with all & singular the Houses Outhouses Barns Stables
Buildings Orchards Fields Fences Ways Woods Waters Water Creaks Meadows
Marshes Swamps Criples Fishings Fowlings Hawkings Huntings Mines Minerals
Quarries Rights Liberties Privileges Inprovem PIerditam & Appurtenances
whatsoever unto the s. Messuage Plantation & two Tracts of Land belonging
or in any wise appurtaining Excepting & always reserving out of this
present Bargain & Sale unto the s. Thomas Green his Heirs & assigns
A Certain Peice of the First Above described Tract of Thirty Foot Square
comonly called or known by the name of the Burying Place Wherin the s. Thomas
Green's Children (Together with the free Right & privilege Of Ingress
Egress to & from the same Burying ground) are buried and the Reversiont
Reversions Remainder & Remainders Renst Issues & Profits of the
Premises To have & to hold the s Messauge Plantation & two Tracts
of Land Herditam Premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned to be
bargained & sold with their appurtenances / Except before excepted unto
the s. Joseph Dole his Execut Administ & Assigns from the Day of the
Date hereof for and during the ful1 Term of One whole year from thence next
issueing & fully to be compleat & ended To the Intent & Purpose
that by Virtue hereof, of the Statue made for transfering of uses into possession
The s Joseph Dole may be Actual Possession of all & Singular the Premised
hereby bargained & sold or mentioned so to be with the appurtenances
except before excepted And may be enabled to take & accept of a Release
& Confirmation there to him his Heirs & assigns forever. In Witness
whereof the s. Parties to these Presents have interchangably set their Hands
& Seals hereunto. Dated the Day & year first above written. Sealed
& delivered the words (Together w the free Right & privilege of
Ingress Egress to & from the same Burying ground being first interlined
between the 9 & 10 Lines
