Auction Results: About 200 attended this well run auction. (photo) Everything was laid-out well and all items were well presented for pre-auction inspection. Seating was organized so everyone could see all aspects of the auction. The Sale started on time and moved along quickly sticking to the numbered catalog. On occassion we got too noisy, especially after several items went through the sky. The Auctioneer quickly regained control and the sale resumed.

About once an hour, the Auctioneer (Smith photo) inserted some non-catalogued items which gave some of us a chance to rush to the rest-rooms and get a cup of coffee. Of course others remained to buy and they were happy we weren't there bidding against them.

One item which was uncatalogued and remained unsold due to a reserve was a "Stock-Ticker" printer, under a glass dome. Bidding stopped at $4000.

The sale ended at 6:00 p.m. with attendance down to a loyal 50 bidders at that time.

It was a great social event for me. I did get to bid on several radios, only to see them go for twice as much as I had planned to spend. Which proves I have good taste in radios! I did come home with a box of books. The best is a 1920 Callbook with some foreign and all US radio stations call's: Ships, Land stations and Amateur. - John Dilks, K2TQN
